This is what I do after Driver’s Ed, I post about it.
I like and dislike the class at the same time. Everybody is white (I’m coming from a mostly African-American school, but it’s very diverse, so I’m not used to this). I don’t know anybody, and you could say I’m culturally different in some ways from everybody there.
Our instructor, Dave, is awesome. So many jokes. If only every teacher was like that. He can sober up quicker than anything, but I’ll be cracking up soon afterwords. I like to write a lot of his material, I have an entire page of just jokes. At the bottom, I snuck in what to do at a flashing traffic light so I can call it legit notes.
I’m taking the class at a community college, I must be the only one that understands the “college” part of it, despite it being a non-credit class. I also gotta try hard to not laugh at some people’s attempts to answer questions. Our school loves to degradingly joke about the white schools (upper- middle class suburbs) and how they might be a bit slow, they say there’s some truth in every stereotype.
I also noticed that I’m a relatively safe driver. That asshole tailgating me on the way home, however…
